Last year witnessed a significant increase in approved healthcare and construction professionals through immigration programs, addressing the pressing need for talented workers in these fields.

Vanessa White from Shannex International emphasized the importance of international recruitment in meeting the community’s healthcare needs and creating inclusive workplaces. Additionally, Nova Scotia’s construction sector received assistance through the Critical Construction Worker Pilot, facilitating the recruitment of workers from abroad across 21 occupations in the industry.
