The Skilled Worker Class, within the Work Visa category, opens doors for highly skilled individuals with transferable expertise to establish permanent residency in Canada. Key criteria for skilled work experience include being in the same type of job (having the same NOC) as your intended primary occupation, being obtained within the last 10 years (in Canada or abroad), and involving at least one year of continuous work or 1,560 hours total.
Part-time work experience is recognized, with flexibility on hours as long as they accumulate to 1,560 hours. Paid work, excluding volunteer work or unpaid internships, is a prerequisite.
Student Work Experience: Work experience gained during your studies may contribute to meeting minimum requirements if it was paid, continuous, and aligns with program criteria.
